Friend tweaked my windows now I cant drag and drop?

Hi guys,

My friend installed windows on my machine for me after I was having some issues with my coputer. Now im not an idiot I know my way around a machine pretty well, but heres my problem:

I cannot drag and drop to or from the start menu. I also do not have the option to sort by name when i right click in the start menu. And finally there is no option to switch users or to log of when I select shut down.

He must have made some tweaks. Does anyone know how to enable these options again?

Thanks!

Right click the task bar>properties>start menu tab>customize button>advanced tag>check the box "enable dragging and dropping"

Thanks, but that was already checked off. Seems the only way to switch users or to log off is with ctrl-alt-del

Do you get the XP welcome screen or the old style login box when you start the computer? If you get the login box, you go the same place you go to enable fast user switching and check the box to use the welcome screen.

Everytime i turn the computer on it goes to the XP welcome screen, but heres the thing. Theres always an old style login box that say it cant log me in, password is incorrect and then I hit okay and the old style login box dissapears and i can then type my password into the xp login screen.
