Question about WIN XP / VMWARE
If you guys know what VMware is, I partitioned part of my drive this this. Also I was installing Win Xp, asked for the product key. Used a program to find my current XP product key on my computer. Type it in for my VMWare xp installion, it saids its invalid. Any ideas?

If the XP on the computer is an OEM preload (Dell, etc.) the key on the case and the key you get with a keyfinder are not the same. You can't use a name brand OEM XP in this manner.

Ok i was talking to my friend, I bought my computer originally from a private computer assembler. Small time guy, and he didn't put the XP validation code in.. also like 2 years when the XP needed validation, I had to fix that on my own. So in that case, I can go to this guy and get my key right?
