hp receiver and keyboard doesn't communicate

Hello once again,

I have a HP Pavilion Media center TV PC m7490n with Windows XP Media Center installed on it. For some mysterious reason the wireless keyboard doesn't response anymore with the receiver. There's no sign of activity acknowledged. The wireless mouse does. Yes, I did replace the batteries with a new set. Also, I've install all lastest Windows updates related to wireless functionality. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. As a consquent I took the keyboard back to the place I had purchase the pc and they exchanged it for another one. That one doesnt cooperate either. What might be the cause for this problem?

Thanks again for any assistance.

If it has a channel select button, have you made sure that it is trying to connect on the same channel as the receiver?

Follow the reconnect sequence exactly. This involves pressing buttons on the receiver, keyboard, and mouse.
