Firewall Problem in WinXP

I donot understand, my WinXP firewall is on but why am I getting a messege on my "windows security alert" that my firewall is not on?

have you got another firewall that is clashing with it? what happens when you go to security center? beware some viruses use tool tips etc

Thanks for your help,no i am not using any other external firewall ,actually my brother installed some music softwares which caused some of the programs to be opened by the firewall and allowed its incoming but i have removed checks from there.

Should i also remove checks from Remote Desktop,Remote Assistance, File and Print Sharing in windows firewall settings?

If you aren't using em, no sense and leaving em open....

thats what i was asking ,since i use internet quote often, so should I remove checks from
"Remote Desktop","Remote Assistance" and "File and Print Sharing"?

If you Use those three services don't touch em.

If you Don't use those three services UNcheck them.
