too many operating systems
Had real problems when I got a notice of "ITLDR which locked up my computer and stated to hit CTRL>ALT>Delete. All this did was take me back to the ITLDR error. Finally tried loading XP onto my alternate hard disk, D drive, which worked fine but could not transfer data from the original C drive.
My only solution seemed to be to format my C drive and load a new XP installation, requiring me to upload all my programs anew. In the meantime I still have the other (D drive) thinking it is an operating system despite my having completely formatting it. The format worked fine but now every time I start up the computer I have to choose between the active operating system (C drive) and the formatted D drive - see attachment. Is there some way of cleaning up the problem? |

Thanks for the reply and the web site which really explained a lot. It did get rid of the unwanted startup. Thanks again.
