BSOD Stop 0X000000C5
Its been some time since I've posted anything here as all my PC's have been running well..... until now. I'm getting this BSOD message:
Stop 0X000000C5 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054B539) I've searched the net but can't a definition anywhere. OK, I know your going to ask about changes to the system. I'm running an Asus A7N8X 2.0 Deluxe, AMD XP2500, GF2 MX400, WD 80gb and Windows XP with all updates. No overclocking. Now the changes. I replaced the ram. Removed Samsung 2 x 512mb CL2.5 and replaced them with Kingston 3 x 512mb CL2.5 With the Samsung ram the BSOD occured once a week. With the Kingston ram it happens twice a day. Now, I have another system identicle to this one except it has an ATI 9800 video card and both sets of ram work perfectly. I never have had a BSOD on the second PC with either sets of ram. Can anyone give me an insight as to what the Stop message is about? Thanks.

I tried the Driver Verifier Manager (Verifier.exe) using the first option. The instructions were to run the exe and restart. What a mess. It now takes 30 min to boot up. The CPU is running at 100% all the time. It takes 5 min for anything to come up when I click on it. I get Runtime errors in Roxio. Help. I need this PC to answer a job offer tonight. Thanks.

Look in the Task Manager to see what is using the CPU cycles. Would take alook at that MX400 video card for bulging caps. I had the same card with bulging caps and caused the PC to act wierd. May need to try a restore point in XP.

SVCHOST.EXE and MSMPENG.EXE were using up the CPU. I deleted about 12 programs that I had'nt used in a long time. Autocad, Roxio, Partion magic etc were all removed. Virus scan, Malware, Adware and Spybot were run and all was found normal. PC seems to be running OK for the moment. A buddy suggested I run a scan of the registry and remove the crap. I'm not sure what software to use for this. Anyone know of a freeware that can do the job for me?
