Unhappy offline folders/client side caching

Last week i got asked to decommision an old laptop running XP. It was on a domain that no longer existed and the user wanted it for home use.

I removed the machine from the domain
created a new user account
enabled fast user switching

It turns out that the user had saved a number of files to his H drive which was his offline folder. I've searched c:\windows but cannot find the csc directory. Under documents and settings\user i can find nethood which has a link to the old network drives but doesnt seem to contain any offline data.

Question - does removing the machine from the domain or enabling fast user switching (doesnt allow offline files while its active) delete any offline file stores?

Question - Could the offline files be stored anywhere else i have the CSCCMD tool, but dont seem to be able to find the file to extract the data from.

Thanks

Wouldn't the offline files be on the old server?

Servers been decomissioned for a while and the data was put on the laptop afterwards. The user has just continued to use his old domain log on and offline folders.
