USB device problems

Hi all

I am using windows XP and having some problems with my usb devices. Both tomtom and Sony Erricson phones now dont connect to there software! The devices do register in file mode (I can browse them in my computer) But i cant update either device as both sets of software are claiming i should plug my device in!

Any Ideas?

Sometimes USB devices may need to be plugged into the same port that it was orginally installed at. Or having 2 devices plugged into a pair of ports could cause undo currant draw.
