A new format (Need a noob tutorial)

I would like to reformat my hardrive, as its got a a lott of unwanted rubbish onit and i feel it is a time to format, i have a windows XP home edition disc but it is already installed on one computer does this matter. Also suprisingly i am not to worried about the format it self its more the Wirelss router setup that drives me up the wall it took me ages to configure and i wish it too be a simple and quick process

Any advice or help much apreciated.

Yes, it matters if you already have XP installed on another system as you are allowed to install it on one computer only. There are other ways to clear out "rubbish." Delete old programs, delete unwanted data files, and run things like CCleaner.
