So here's the issue:
I have SBS2003 up and running. Everything works fine inside the network. However outside the network is a little different. I can go to FQDN.com and the site comes up. However only the html links work. The .aspx based links don't. The companyweb wont come up at all even when changing the link to FQDN:444 or IP:444. However, if i bypass the main page and go to a sub page, say the document list viewer, i get the logon prompt and can logon, view the page, and navigate from there. Also, if using FQDN I can click on the RWW link and it brings up the RWW logon screen, but no matter what credentials i use (user or admin) the screen just recycles with no error. Now if i use just the IP it goes to the main page, i click on the rww link and can logon just fine (the companyweb still doesnt work though). As a side note, when i use the IP i get certificate errors. Ive looked on support.microsoft.com and nothing really matches my description. Ive googled for days and noone seems to be able to figure out why i can get access through IP but not FQDN. Any suggestions? |

Make sure you don't have any Host Headers in IIS for your "companyweb" site. If memory serves me correctly, there is one assigned. If so, remove it.
