Back up active directory
Is there any tool to back up the active directory data of a windows server 2003 domain controller?, so if the Hard drive fails you can install the SO and restore the active directory from that backup.

Active Directory is stored in the system state. You can use Windows built it Backup software to back this up.
Be careful about the tombstone lifetime of these backups - it will not restore if the backup is older than 60 or 180 days depending on your setup. You can find more information at the below link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216993
