Swap file size
I will have a total of 2 Gig of RAM once I install my memory and was wondering how large to set my swap file. My hard drives are 320 Gig each. I currently have a fixed swap file size of 3 Gig. I took my 1 Gig of RAM and multiplied it by 3 and set minimum and maximum to that. But I've read that is kind of an ancient way of doing it. I probably don't need to set it that high. Never had any problems though.

The actual formula is 1 & ½ times the amount of ram.....But as LesPaul said, just let windows manage it.
Or if you get bored or bold and adventurous, try out different settings and test away.

As long as you have plenty of hard drive space, with 2 gigs of ram, max it out at 4095 min and max.
