standby issues!

When I put my comp into S3 standby, and start it again, it just boots up as if I had shut it down in the first place. In the BIOS it's set to S3.

What am I possibly doing wrong?

I don't know, but from MaximumPC, jn BIOS>Power Management
Suspend Mode S3 Only
Repost Video Disabled
Acpi 2.0 Enabled
ACPI APIC Enabled

That worked for my XP.

Still won't work! I did verify that indeed it is set for S3 standby in the BIOS.

You tried updating video and sound drivers yet? That is sometimes the cause of standby issues.
