copying installed fonts from old pc to new under win xp

hi --

can anyone please give me input regarding whether there's a folder in win xp that contains all the currently installed fonts? i may be switching to a new pc, with the same os, and would hate to have to manually reinstall the gazillions of fonts i've installed from various discs. is there a folder i can just copy from the old pc to the new one?

if i remember correctly, there is usually a windows folder called "fonts" on the system drive, but it's hard to believe it'd be as simple as just copying that folder over.

thank you!
