Of the 14 machines running Windows XP Pro, only three machines that are unable to join the domain controller. The error message on those three computers are:
The following error occured attempting to join the domain "myDomain": The specified server cannot perform the requested operation. Any help is much appreciated. |

I have tried the nslookup of the domain server with just the computer name and two IP address showed up.
nslookup myComp Server: myComp.myDomain.local Address: 192.168.1.79 Server: myComp.notMyDomain.local Address: 192.168.1.82 However, if I do a nslookup of the myDomain.local, I got this: nslookup myDomain.local Server: myComp.myDomain.local Address: 192.168.1.79 Server: myDomain.local Address: 192.168.1.79 Is this normal? I believed the problem I'm having is because it listed two different IP address. Could this be the problem? If it is, how do I resolve or trouble shoot this? |
