Outlook Express - Mozilla Thunderbird

I recently switched from Outlook Express to Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail and have an issue I can't figure out.

I send an email using Thunderbird. The reciever replies but I don't get the reply. If I switch back to OE, there it is.

The default in the control panel is set to Thunderbird.

Some setting somewhere is not right and I don't know what it is.

Help.

Have you checked the mail settings in Thunderbird? Are you sure that Thunderbird is running mail checks periodically?
