Network Login
I used to be able to login at the XP splash screen and this would give me access to all the network drives.
Now I have to go into 'my computer' click on one of the drives and reenter the same password at the prompt. Its a pain because when I click one of my desktop shortcuts nothing happens rather than asking for the password. (Emails and Internet still work as before) This was caused by moving the computer to another desk then moving back. (I think) Can you point me in the direction of any windows settings I should look into? Thanks |

My guess is that since you moved the PC around it has been issued a new IP address from the DHCP server. And now the networked drives are seeing a new IP address that they don't know so may need to remapped the network drives.
This is just my opinion.
