WIN XP Pro Problem
Hey guys and gals,
I have a major problem with one of my computers. Last night I got on and booted it up, everything went fine, it goes to the desktop and rather it being the windows xp theme it has a windows 98 theme, so I thought ok no problem I will just go to properties and change it. I go to properties and there is no win xp theme. So I go to open up a web browser to search what the problem might be and nothing comes up. I go to network connections, and all of my network connections are gone! I go to device manager to check if my NIC card is disabled and absolutely nothing comes up! I just reinstalled windows and after a couple of reboots, the problem returns. I am completely stumped on this one as I have never had this problem b4, and I reguralry scan it for viruses and the lot. Any and all help would be great. *Tried starting in safe mode to no avail. Specs are Intel P4 3.0Ghz Win XP Pro 2 GB pf DDR 400; One 1g stick of Samsung and One 1g stick of SuperTalent Western Digital 80G IDE HDD Leadtek 7800 GS Asus P5P800 SE 775 AGP Motherboard Creative Sound Blaster Live 24 bit Aspire 500 Watt PSU

Fixed it, found out that some1 had disabled the windows services.
