Question File Type (Icon's)

As you know each file type has its own icon for example an .mp3 usually shows up with the normal wmp icon.

I'm having a problem where windows recognizes the filetype and opens it with the program of my choice, but doesn't no longer show an icon.

This has been going on for a while no but its getting to a point where its actually annoying with no icon just that default icon (white background with an ms-dos box in the middle) Like when xp doesn't recognize the file it shows it, but it does recognize it, but no icon.

Please help guys!

Win Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->FileTypes tab-> highlight an extension and click the Advanced button->Click the Change ICON Button.

A simpler way would be to download TweakUI. It has the option to rebuild icons, it's under Repair.

That looks like an Index file....If so, it's got the right icon...Got any other one?
