Icon Error
Recently I was playing Counter Strike and I was interrupted by an instant message. I noticed as soon as the game minimized the desktop icons didn't show a picture but rather the default icon when there is no icon. Here's a screen shot, now i got pretty much all of the icons on the desktop back to normal (except for my computer) by going into properties and reselecting the icon, which was already selected, but i cant get the ones in my start menu to revert back to normal. I Haven't tried a system restore mainly because i'd like to know what caused this error.

Not sure what caused it, but you could probably just restart the computer and get the icons back.

I tried restarting.. nothing seems to work really..
EDIT: Ok now i got it back to normal, except for the My Computer icon. I can't seem to get that one back to normal.. Last edited by faint545; 12-05-2007 at 07:30 PM. |

Download TweakUI, there is an option to rebuild the icons, under repair at the bottom of the directory tree thing.
