Internet with MS 2000
Guys
I have an old system running windows 2000 that just wont get online for the life of me. All the drivers are in and and devices installed , I even get an IP address. But yet nothing, Any ideas : )

Do you have a firewall?
Are you using a router?

No firewall on the system I am using a router but got all security disabled and have 4 other computers working fine on the same connection so , Im thinking theres a setting in that windows 2000 Im npt looking at. Its got short legs because Im getting ready to format and run XP on it. I just cant think of anything els to do , How the hell dos a computer have an IP address but cant get online

Have you tried connecting it without the router? What IP address are you getting?
