Remote Desktop Connection Exit

Everytime I exit Windows XP's Remote Desktop Connection from the client, the server goes to the lock screen (the Winkey+L). Is there a way to revert it back to the desktop everytime I exit Remote Desktop Connection?

If you hit the "x" on the little yellow bar at the top, that will close the window, but keep the machine unlocked.

I wouldn't suggest that, however. That simply means that anyone who has your IP address / hostname would be able to access that workstation via remote desktop as well.

It's best to keep it locked when you disconnect.

Is there a way for it to automatically unlock when I click on the "x"?

Actually you need to "log off" when done and Not use the X to close the session.

What is the OS of the machine you are connecting to?

No, there is not a way to autologin when connecting remotely. It's a security feature.

Like I said...
