wrong now it won't reboot

I've reinstalled win xp and now have 2win xp on

i have a couple of questions i hope you can help me with

1-how can i get rid of the faulty install

2- where can i find some drivers for my new install
does anyone knows a site that will scan my pc for missing drivers?

3- could someone refer my to a thread that gives you instructions how to dump the hard drive and start from fresh?

1. You have to edit the boot.ini file to get rid of the non-functioning boot option.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022

Follow Edit the Boot.ini File. You have to delete the line that doesn't work. If you delete the wrong one you will have big problems.

2. What kind of PC do you have?

3. Just found this http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...p_sg_clean.asp

Hey, to edit the Boot.ini, I prefer to use Msconfig to auto clean the faulty OS. But before that, you should delete the installation files and folders of the faulty OS. I suggest you to reformat the C drive, then install the OS entirely.
