can i access my hard drive after?
hi
I'm using win xp with sp2 my windows was playing up so i reinstalled it and removed the old installation My question is : Is there anyway i can access my hard drive to retrieve my files that where on the old win xp? I'm assuming / hoping the files are still there since i didn't dump the h/d thanks Kobi

Are the installations on different drives?
If not, did you do a repair, rather than an install? Did you do an install over top of the old one, rather than reformatting?

re access my h/drive
Hi
I've done a reinstall not a repair and no i didn't format the h/d so both win xp where on the same drive no partition does that mean it's all gone? thanks kobi |

Well, does you hdd only have a partition? I advise you to partition it, then reformat the C drive and install a new XP. I think it's not necessary to format the whole hdd.
