Winodws XP install restarts with no error message...

Hey all,

I just built a new rig for my mom and I cannot get windows to install. Reformatting and the copy file phase work flawlessly, but then windows set up restarts before I even see the "x minutes left" screen. I have tried alternate RAM, a dual core processor (instead of the quad), and hard drive (IDE). I have also connected my PSU from my own rig to the devices in the new one, still restarts. I have set the mem timings manually 5-5-5-15, although there are a list of "other settings" with abt 8 items for further timing options. Here are my mom's system specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor Model BX80562Q6600 - Retail

MOBO: ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Retail

VID CARD: EVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

CASE/PSU: Athenatech A413WG.400 Beige / Gray Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX 2.01v 400W Power Supply - Retail

Sometimes I recieve an error message, 2 of which have said something about virtual memory and the other simply saying the operation was unsuccessful. HELP PLEASE!!!

Well, have you ever checked the wire/cable lines?
