Red face firefox 2.0.0.11 problems

I am using windows 2000, with the current hotfix and IE 6.02800.1106, sp1, Q903235.

I reinstalled firefox 2.0 and the latest upgrades to-day and still keep getting "server not found", "url not found" errors when I go to some websites which contain lots of videos. I can view Youtube website videos fine though.

I am using a IBM netvista pentium 4 with 1.8 ghz and 512meg ram. 40 gi HD 18 gi freespace

Just curious if I can stay away from windows xp for a little while longer.
