choice of media players..

PROBLEM: certain video clips will not play with wiondows media player

ISSUE: How do i set the various instaled media players to play certain files?

DISCUSSION: i download video clips from internet--comput automatically brings up
windows medica p;layer which will not display the clip

I downloaded another video player (VLC) which will play the clip--
how do i configure computer to chose VLC for certain clips?

I guess im really asking..how do u assocaite medioa players with certain files..

Right click the file, choose properties click change and choose the program you want.

Go to control panel>folder options> then file types tab> and that is where the settings you are seeking are found.

Well, many media players can associate the media files in configruation (such as tools/options), I haven't used VLC player, but I think it has the same fuction.
