XP SP3 Beta

I found this on tweakxp.com has anyone here tried it? is it worth downloading and seeing what fixes and improvements it has made..

Just found out the hard way, it is not good.. After installing and then rebooting my machine just keeps on rebooting. Can't get to desktop not even in safe mode.. Any ideas on how to get this uninstalled..

Have you tried booting to the XP install CD and doing a Repair install?

What is it like? If it is worh it I wil download it when it is officially released and all the problems have been ironed out.

Thanks I guess i'm not the type of tech person that this was made for.. I did find a solution that might help over at MS .. It was for the sp2 when it first came out and people had the same probem I'm expericeing now.. I might as well give it a try today or tommorow.. What else do I have to loose..

did that and all it did was undo my boot order, and now can't even load vista.. Might have to reinstall both now..

You'll have to repair the bootloader as the repair of XP corrupts it. If you google one of the many tuts on how to make an XP/Vista dual boot you'll have the answer.

Maybe next time you'll try either a virtual machine or have an image of the drive made using something Acronis TrueImage before doing something like this.

Well the boot loader won't work until I can get my system up and running again.. I can't even access vista.. This is how I learn, by trial and error...

Fixed the problem.. I used a method found on MS site. One thing I forgot is that this copy of XP is with sp2 already.. So this trick was suppose to be with a copy of XP without sp2,and you installed it from windows updat. The tricked worked any way.. I was finally able to get into safe mode and uninstall sp3 with no issues.. Thank heavens..
