Need to remove a boot option from a hard drive.
I recently got a 320GB hd to replace an older PATA storage drive and when I did the formatting I used the windows xp disk but forgot to stop it before it initialized the installation of windows. I quick before it got into it but the computer when I restart it has two boot options for iwndows xp, the first being the one on the new drive. I went into my normal windows and formatted the storage drive with the drive manager, but the boot option is still there and is the default for the computer. So if te computer restarts or I restart and leave it will try to boot from the non-existent system.
Is there a way to remove that boot option so that the default is my normal windows xp? |

Run msconfig, boot.ini tab. Highlight the path that works and set as default.
