Best Way to Transfer Outlook Data Between Computers

I need to copy all of my Microsoft Outlook data from my office computer to my home computer. I was planning on putting the data on a flash drive at work and then uploading it to my computer at home. The problem is I don't know what would be the best approach. I need all of my emails as well as all of my contacts and other relevant application data. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook has an import/export feature. Export both your inbox and contacts list to a Personal Folder File (.pst) and save them on your flash drive, then import these files into outlook on your computer at home.

This is what I usually do to transfer everything.

1) Browse through the Outlook Application Folder in Documents and settings. Go to your Local Drive Letter, then Document's and Settings, then your [User Name], Local Settings, Application Data, Microsoft, Outlook. Make sure that all hidden folders are shown.

2) Then copy the file "Outlook". Put it into your flash drive in a folder. But make sure that the file or the folder is not set to "Read Only".

3)Then open Outook on the other computer then export the Outlook.pst file from the flash drive.
