Programs that Start with Windows
I have some programs that start with Windows (XP Home SP2) that I don't need. Examples:
QuickTime ULI Raid manager (Only have one HDD) How do I stop these programs from starting with Windows? JB |

goto run and type in msconfig, then goto the startup tab and uncheck anything you don't want to start with windows.

If you do it the way Shadow has suggested you will be prompted to restart the machine, when the machine restarts you will then be greeted with a window saying that you have used the configuration utility, check the box (do not display this message again) and click ok.
If you want to avoid this procedure you can download a handy little registry cleaning tool called CCleaner, in CCleaner under the "Tools" option you can delete items from start up and avoid the restart and confirmation window. Either way is very simple, but with CCleaner you also have a handy little tool that you can give Windows a spring clean with. CCleaner is a free application available at www.ccleaner.com
