Problem with Task Manager in Windows XP

Hi,

I wonder if anyone knows anything about this. Lately (the last three days), when I try to get to the task manager, either by ctr-alt-del or through the help menu, a box pops up showing CPU usage and CPU history (as a line graph). There are no menu items or buttons, and to close the box I have to right click on the icon in the lower right corner, then choose close. I recently installed and used Microsoft Bootvis and a program I found recommended here somewhere called CCLeaner, but I can't see any indication that those programs caused the change. I tried using system restore to move back in time, but after doing that the same thing happens. Any advise?

Thanks,

Chris

Just right click on the frame around the task manager to bring back the full view.

This has been addressed a number of times on the forums, a search would've got your answer faster

Hi,

I'm sorry, I forgot to write that when I right click anywhere on the box nothing happens. I am able to re-size the box, but right clicking does nothing. Also, right clicking on the box that shows up in the task bar along the bottom of the does nothing as well. The only way I can close the box once it opens is to right click the icon in the lower right part of the screen (sorry, I don't know what that area is called). Then I can select Close or Always on Top, no other options.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks. It's not much of a stretch to say "I should have tried that first." Thanks for the tip.
