Recovered XP freezes on boot
I have just wiped my hard drive and using Acronis recovered an XP build to a primary partition. I have recovered this backup before on the same hard drive before I needed to wipe it and that recovered XP build booted fine. But now the same backup freezes on the blue part of the boot screen.
Any ideas appreciated. |

Have you tried to go into safe mode ?

I've had problems with Acronis not being consistent. If you're not infected or anything like that, then shoot them an email as their customer support was good when I contacted them for help (though we didn't get the problem fixed...).
If you're recovering from something like an infection, you might need other help, like a fix to your MBR (Master Boot Record). I don't know if Acronis has a utility for this or not. |
