Safely Remove Hardware

Question for you guys
I built a PC last week. Its a SATA hard drive, Now the SATA Hard drive (C shows in the Safely remove Hardware, It cannot be disabled of course because it is running, but i wanted to know how to make it disapear, I read somewhere you can disable that feature in the registry, but I don't think its the best idea. Is there another way to make the C: drive disapear from Safely remove Hardware.
thx

Dark Nova

Why don't you just leave it alone and ignore it. Most of us do...I mean it's just an icon and a drive letter, right?

Just one of the quirks of SATA being hot swappable. Perhaps SP3 will fix issued like these.

I doubt it. Microsoft wants everyone to move to Vista so SP3 will only address security issues.

I hate it when they restrict thing for newer versions. Anyway, I'm not moving to Vista for at least another year, I don't have the money to put it on all my machines.
