OE Won't Save Password

After a search of past questions about this subject, I can't find an answer.

OE will not save the password. The box is grayed out and won't accept the check. In settings, the box is checked to save password in all instances that I've seen.
Can someone help?
TIA

Carl

I remember this problem from a couple years ago. You need to shut down your firewall and/or anti virus when setting up your email account.
