lmouke.sys

Hi Gang

Now I have this blue screen pop up wiith this lmouke.sys. I have read this is caused by a Logitech mouse or keyboard driver not installed or installed right.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanx........Gunny

Hi Gang

Is this something to be concerned about, and is it a simple matter of a driver gone bad or a serious problem with my computer. All I read about it seems to point out some thing wrong with my Logitech program. And some saying it could be some sort of a virus. Can some one please tell me what this is exactly, so I can possibly do some thing about it.

Thanx and take care........Gunny

Do you have a Logitech mouse? Here's a site that that will let you run a free Scan for LMOUKE.SYS related errors:
http://www.runscanner.net/process.aspx?p=lmouke.sys

The fix won't be free but at least you could run the scan to see what it reports.

You do not need to install all the garbage - Windows default keyboard and mouse drivers are enough to get you standard keyboard functionality and 2 button with scroll wheel mouse operation.

Hi GLC

I agree whole heartedly with you, but how many of us will do this, what is the point of buying these nice keyboards and mice with all the time saving and nice features.? And yes I realize some of these extra's can cause problems of some sort. So where is the deciding point, do we just buy a very simple set, or get the fancier sets and live and cope with the problems.?? Or still better should you be penalized with problems with the fancier sets, should they be just as dependable as the simpler sets.???

If you think that it has to do with the keyboard and mouse drivers, have you tried just uninstalling and reinstalling them? Could just be a bad install or a file that got corrupted somehow.

Hi Juppy

Yes I have done that. Actually I have done this several times since I have the Logitech system. Usually what happens is the hot keys or the on screen volumn will stop working.

Thanx for the suggestion. I am thinking of selling it and getting a Microsoft keyboard and mouse.

Hi Gang

Well I got rid of the problem, got rid of all my Logitech stuff, got Microsoft stuff, keyboard and mouse. Might be a round about way of doing it but never the less fixed my problem. I know some of you are going to say, you chicken you did not fix the problem you just took a shortcut, and took the easy way out.

I have to agree with you I did. :-)

Well, sometimes that's the only way to get things to work. Glad it's not messing up on you any more, no matter what the solution.

ya you are right there. I have not been in love with this Logitech set any way, ever since I bought it. So a good time to switch. I always thought Logitech was a good set but have read a lot of negative stuff about them. I should have found this before I bought it. Ha ha

Well any way thanx for all the help, now to move onto bigger and better things. I am sure I will be back here with a new problem, or question.

Thanx and take care.........Gunny

LOL! Probably the same thing as a horse tipper, just a different animal. Cow tipping is basically going out at night and finding a cow that is sleeping while still standing up, sneaking up on it, and pushing it over so it falls on it's side. Usually takes about 3 people.....cows aren't exactly lightweight, y'know.

I have never heard about that now I see why, that is funny really funny, I mean LOL funny. How did you ever get the idea to do that.? I would pay to see that.

No I guess my horse tipper thing is some thing, that is called guys that hang around the horse race tracks and give you tips as which one is going to win. When I was a kid I use to help out at the race tracks, around Miami Florida, and I heard that phrase many a time.

A far cry from your tipper. :-)

Thanx.....Gunny

I can't take credit for the cow tipping idea.....that's been around for quite awhile, and I'm not even sure where it started.

I do remember seeing a standup comedian do a joke about it though, and that was at least 10 years ago. He said the optimal number of people for a cow tipping escapade was 5. 4 to tip the cow and one guy to walk ahead of them with a flashlight on their way through the cow pasture, saying "Don't step there man! Oooh, don't step in that one!!"
