Slow booting XP system....
As per my signature I have recently upgraded my system to a C2D and asus P5K-E mb. It seems to boot slowly or at least a little more slowly than I think it should. My main hard d rive is a seagate 500gb with the 32 mb buffer. What steps can I take to troubleshoot/speed up the boot process. Is there a log file or sonething I can post showing what programs are starting. Does it make a difference with 4 gb of ram? any suggestion are appreciated.

Did you install the motherboard drivers from the driver CD?
