Updates Ready

After my recent build and everything up and running I have Updates Readyfor your computer etc, click to install. The yellow shield with the exclamtion mark. Anyway, I click to install and quite a few won't install and hte shield won't go away. How do I get rid of it? If they aren't going to load I don't want to be reminded to do so.

What operating system are you using? XP sp2?

Try going to windows update, and choosing to install the updates manually.

XP SP2. I turned it off and see what happens. Worked fine before a did the upgrade/build. Maybe just a glitch. Thanks for the assistance.

Did you reuse a previous hardrive and do a repair? If so then this is a bug with Windows Update. Copy this into Notepad and name it wu.cmd

Code:
regsvr32 /s wuapi.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 /s wucltui.dll
regsvr32 /s wups2.dll
regsvr32 /s wups.dll
regsvr32 /s wuweb.dll
Then run it.
