Distorted script in 3 programs

I have 3 programs that have distorted or just missing script and looks like the script is just yo big for program. Not sure what to make of this.

Take a look at att. You see on the right side what is happening.

Display properties, advanced, general, DPI size, needs to be "normal" and not "large".
Display properties, appearance, font size - needs to be "normal" and not "large".

One or both of these 2 should fix it.
