I would like to manage my start-up processes using something other than the "msconfig" command. I have some processes that start-up that I would like to turn off that msconfig does not show in the list. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If it's a service that starts up, you could use services.msc to disable them from start up. Just becareful with that.

Yeah, I went through some of the services. Are there any trustworthy applications that can help me monitor/control these programs...specifically...free

Blackvipers website sounds like what you want.
I used the Safe list on XP Home, no problems. I have heard it really does'nt do much. http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm Last edited by law99; 02-26-2008 at 10:58 PM. |
