XP sound issue
Hey again,
Another computer is having issues this time. The sound (onboard 5.1, Realtek) isn't working at all. I uninstaller the drivers, got the most recent, and nothing. The computer doesn't detect any software at all (gives me a (Code 10) when I look up the properties of the device, stating that the drivers are corrupt or missing), even after a successful driver installation. I can get the details if you need them, but the board is made by VIA, if that helps. Thanks again.

Had this same error on a new build. Problem for me was Windows wanting to install the drivers. Turned out I had to cancel Windows installing and let the installer re-boot to finish off the installation.
Problem, was that I needed to re-format/re-install XP to allow correct installation of the drivers. |
