Failed windows Updates after repair install

I've got Windows XP SP2 that I recently did a repair install on and now all the windows updates I've done are coming up saying they need to be installed. but when I try to install them they all fail. I tried doing over through IE also and when I look at the description of each update it says the size is 0KB.

How can I get all of the updates to reinstall or clear the update notification. As of now the update.exe file is hogging the system as it checks for updates.

thanks
mike

Excellent! That worked, all except the update for .Net Framework, Version 1.1 SP1! Thanks!
My search skills need some help, I didn't find that thread doing my searches.

Now I'm back to my original problem:
I'm getting several errors that seem to be related to .NET framework. I'm sure it is going to be related to the unresolved update above.

I've gone through several pages of Microsoft Knowledge Base but haven't find a solution that works or even successfully installs. In all cases I get the follow error: "c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\framework\v1.0.3705\mscorwks.dll could not be loaded"

Any suggestions?

mike

It's a good bet that you need an update for the update.

See if this will help : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448
