Question New Windows Update won't complete

This is called Service Pack 3, It tries to load into my XP Professional and at the end askes me to load my CD. So I get the CD and it can't fine a file named proret.msi and I end up canceling the upgrade. I have seen on other web pages that this is a problem to others but don't understand how to fix it. Seems there are a few versions of XP... OEM and Retail... I am not sure but you need to get the correct proret.msi file or all bets are off.
Anyone experience this problem?

Thanks in advance
Steve

sjm1027, since SP3 is still in Beta form I wouldn't worry about updating as yet. Beta's are programs that are still in testing phase and still have bugs in them. Just work with SP2 for now and wait for the final version of SP3.

Maybe in the add/remove programs, you can uninstall it.
