Partitioning question

For XP, can you load the RAID drivers directly from the CD that came with the mobo directly to the memory or do you need to transfer the drivers to a floppy first and then to memory. I was reading that in Vista you can so I was wondering if you can do the same in XP.

As far as I know they need to be on a floppy, but I may be wrong.
