Angry Fire Login screen!!! classic, Help please!!!

Hi im new here and pretty bad with pc's but i have one question for all you members and admins
i need some help. i have a computer, one day i turn it on then i had to restart it because
it was really laggy so i did, then wen it turns on again im at the login screen its different now
it used to be showing all the user accounts of the computer but now the backround is pitch black and theres just a box tht says username: password wats rong? msg or email me at please.

Sounds like the login box on the black screen is the BIOS login. If you never had this before, then somebody could have been playing with your PC and added a BIOS Password. To clear this: power off the PC/unplug it/open the case and remove the motherboard battery(round silver disc) for 5 minutes then reinstall. power up and see if it works.

to flanzig, so ur saying turn off my pc, unplug everything from the back of my pc first? then wat do i open?

You open the computer case. There will be a small silver disc battery, about the size of a 20c piece. Looks like this. You need to remove that for at least 5 mins, then put it back in and turn on the PC. It will ask something about setting defaults by pressing F1, do that. Then the PC should load properly.

so... how do i open it up i dunt wanna break anything...
screw driver then i open it from the back side top?

Looking at the front of my PC., it is the left side that comes off. Remove screws (on back?), then slide the side to the back to unclip the front edge.
If it is not that simple then make & model is needed.

While in there blow out any lint with a can of compressed air.

Do have the power off & no static charge in your body.

I think he meant unplug the power plug, not everything.

Thanks guys i did wat all of yu told me to do and it worked. thank you alot. But tht didnt seem to help my backround problem.
