Quick question on Reformat
I have two separated HDs. I installed my XP Home on one and the other is just for back up files. So if I need to reinstall XP, then all I do is just delete the HD w/ the OS installed right? w/out affecting the backup drive?
Thanks |

Right, they're separate drives. However, if you ever do reformat in the future, I'd disconnect the backup drive just to be sure you don't accidentally select it in the process.

If you label the drives, it should be clear in any utility which is which. Right click on the drive and choose Properties. In the box at the top of the General tab, type in a descriptive name. ie; XP HOME SP2 and BACKUP for the second drive.
Or open a Command Prompt window and type in label c: XP HOME SP2. Do the same for the other hard disk; label e: BACKUP. (E: used as an example.)
