Need to re-install XP on 98SE for dual boot
I am between a rock and a hard place. I need to install XP Home on my system.
I have a system running 98SE. About 4-5 years ago I installed XP in a dual boot. I could not run some of my favorite programs, so I uninstalled XP. I now need, desperately, to reinstall XP. My original dual boot configuration was 98SE on Drive C: (C: partitioned = C: F: G: H XP was on Drive E: (E: partitioned = E: L: M: N I also have an old drive DD:I:J:K When I begin to install XP I can tell it where to install. It appears that the original XP boot "area" is intact. The partition is 20GB but I can not copy files to approx. 8GB of that partition. Will it really let me do this and can I install on Drive E: without difficulty? A heart felt THANK YOU to any and all who can contribute to my needs. |
