win 2003 servers can't communicate

I have 2 win 2003 standard servers, one is the the backup server and the other a file server. I want to backup the file server but I can't find it in network neighborhood. The network is not a domain and both servers are in the same workgroup. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks
