Windows XP Home w/SP2 start up

Last week I all of a sudden started getting this message on boot up.

Ssiefr.e program not found - skipping AUTOCHECK
smrgdf program not found - skipping AUTOCHECK

I have no clue as to what I may have done to cause this, what these programs are or what they are related to.

The computer runs fine but would like to get rid of this little glitch if possible.

Any suggestions?

Before resorting to the last post I checked the registry as suggested in post #7 and found the following in all three sections mentioned.

autocheck autochk *autocheck SsiEfr.e autocheck smrgdf C:Program files\iolo\System Mechanic Professional 6\autocheck isdelete isdelete

I no longer have System Mechanic Pro 6 on my computer.

Could this be the problem, and if so what do I change?

Thanks

None of what I had tried got rid of the problem so I did what was suggested in the "last" post, re-booted, ran chkdsk and was still getting the messages on bootup.

SO

I took the horns by the bull and went into:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager.

I revised the line to read:

autocheck autochk * autocheck SsiEfr.e autocheck smrdgf and deleted the rest of the line starting with C:\Program Files

I re ran CHKDSK, reboot and wala, problem solved. This also corrected the files in the other registry locations.
