how do i wipe ME from my system

I have a dell computer and it has ME OS. I have new OS, XP which is for dell computers only. I need help how to wipe ME from my system and. DO i need a boot disk?

When you boot off the XP cd you will have an option to delete the partitions and recreate/format...

I dont think this XP is an upgrade disk. does it matter?

Nope. Doesn't matter.

Have you verified that you can get XP drivers for the machine? If it's old enogh to have ME on it it might be too old for XP.

INstalled without problems , no drivers required.
